Tractor Pull

Went looking for something to take photos of today.  Found the Prairie Tractor Pullers Spring Event going on at the fairgrounds inside of a building.  A pit pass later, and almost getting thrown out because the photographer for the event had lens envey, it was interesting to see what a modified lawn mower was capable of pulling.

Is it Spring Yet??

Today felt like spring outside, but we are still in winter.  The sunshine today brought with it the long winter shadows.  This weekend, the forecast is for rain and more rain.  We need the moisture to make up for last year.  I guess better now than in spring when the farmers need to get into the fields to plant.

Ice Palace

Our travels this last weekend took us north to the state of Minnesota where we found what we orginally though was the snow that had been plowed off of the parking lot at the Mall of America in Bloomington.  We later found the magic as the sun set and the outdoor Ice Palace came to life!!
